SpacePNT has developed an advanced GNSS receiver technology called NAVIMOON that implements cutting edge technology to receive and process extremely attenuated signals, coming from the spillover around the Earth of the signals transmitted by GNSS satellite navigation.
Furthermore, it combines the GNSS measurements with advanced onboard orbital force models to achieve real-time onboard orbit determination, with the unprecedented accuracy of 100 m rms at Moon distance.
This solution is more accurate and much cheaper than traditional terrestrial radio ranging involving the use of costly deep space station ground infrastructure.
Example of Moon missions’ objectives:
  • Mining for future resources exploitation (e.g. oxygen as propellant, Iron, Titanium, Metal oxide, etc.)
  • Space exploration as a stop along the way to Mars
  • Moon colonization
